Hong Kong Welcome Programme Funding Results 2023/24
The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities announces a new round of funding for the Hong Kong British National (Overseas) Welcome Programme for 2023/24, providing BN(O) visa holders with vital language, employment and mental health support.
A total of £2.6 million has been allocated to 47 projects across the country that support Hongkongers work and live in the UK.
Minister for the Hong Kong BN(O) Welcome Programme, Felicity Buchan, said:
'An incredible 166,000 – and counting – Hongkongers and their dependants have been given new lives in the UK – free to live, work, and study, in virtually any capacity, on a pathway to citizenship,'
'Hongkongers have become a vibrant part of our communities and dynamos behind new businesses and social enterprises, making a fantastic contribution to our national life.'
