What is the migration research database?
The migration research database is a searchable online database outlining research about refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who have arrived in the Yorkshire and Humber region since 1999. The database provides summaries of featured research including aims, methodology, key issues, conclusions and recommendations.

What's the database for?
We wanted to produce a comprehensive, central, easy-to-use source of information on migration research in the Yorkshire and Humber region. We hope that this database will assist you with:
- doing evidence based policy work
- sharing information
- disseminating research findings
- avoiding duplication of research
- sharing good practice.
What's in the database?
The database contains summaries of individual pieces of research. Our intention is that you can use these summaries to help you identify relevant pieces of research to look at yourself. You can find links to recently uploaded summaries below.

Migration Yorkshire commissioned the first version of the database in 2009, which built on Refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in Yorkshire and Humber, 1999-2008. In 2015, it was updated as part of our Integration up North project in 2015 (funded by the Big Lottery Fund) and more recently under Refugee Integration Yorkshire and Humber (part-funded by AMIF).
