This session’s content will focus primarily on the geography and history of Afghanistan, as well as Afghan’s experiences in conflict. The session will also look at the services (including education and health care) Afghans may be used to and their expectations around accessing those services in Afghanistan. This session will be participatory and rely heavily on participant engagement through case studies and discussion, therefore we highly encourage participants to come prepared to have their cameras on during the session.

In this session, we will delve into the historical context and contemporary events in Iran. Additionally, we will explore the challenges faced by displaced Iranians. This session will primarily focus on different aspects of Iranian society, culture, and communication within the community. This session’s content will focus primarily on experiences that Syrian communities may face in conflict, as well as the experiences Syrians may face in displacement within and outside Syria. It will also discuss Syrian society and diversity. Additionally, the session’s content will focus on Syrian cultural norms, customs and behaviours, as well as family and social life in Syria. The session will also discuss experiences Syrian’s may have had with accessing services such as healthcare and education. This session will be participatory and rely heavily on participant engagement through case studies and discussion, therefore we highly encourage participants to come prepared to have their cameras on during the session.
